Atelier de couture

The sewing workshop is suitable for both beginners and those with some experience. Beginners will learn the basics of sewing, including how to use a sewing machine, follow a pattern, cut different fabrics, and apply various sewing techniques, as well as how to complete a project of their choice, whether working independently or as part of a group. Those with some experience can continue working on their own projects. Bring your ideas along! Ms Petit will guide, encourage and support you right through to the completion of your projects.

Essential equipment: Sewing machine, fabric scissors, paper scissors, a pencil, a box of pins, a tape measure, a 20 cm ruler, tailor’s chalk, tracing paper for patterns

For beginners: 1 metre of fabric at least 110 cm wide (cotton, linen, denim for the outer layer), 1 metre of fabric at least 110 cm wide (cotton for the lining), and thread to match the fabric.
